It's Book Talk Tuesday!!! Today we are featuring Mrs. Brown.
I have just recently finished the book called I am
Malala: The Girl who Stood Up for
Education and was Shot by the Taliban.
This autobiography was written by Malala Yousafzai, a 15
year old girl who is from Pakistan. She
is a young activist who fought for girls’ education rights in Pakistan. Her fierce determination to make the world a better place made her the
target of the Taliban. They wanted to silence her, so they attempted to murder
her, but one bullet passed through her forehead and barely missed her
brain. For several weeks she was on the
verge of death. After Malala recovered,
she said, “ I realized what the Taliban had done, now I want to take my
campaign global.”
Malala has won many awards including the Nobel Peace Prize.
(She is the youngest person to be nominated for the Peace Prize!)
The book that I read was written for adults, but here is a
children’s version as well. You will be
so inspired by her commitment to change the world!
Thank you Mrs. Brown for sharing!
Be good. Be nice. Behave.
